The El 天美影视 Union High School District Board of Trustees adopted a final trustee map "NDC Green 3" during a meeting on Feb. 2, 2022 following a series of community open houses and public hearings where comments and input were received from the public.

We want to thank our entire District community and the public for their interest and participation in this historic process for El 天美影视 Union. We remain committed to the empowerment of our students, continued collaboration with families and community members and ensuring that our actions are based on what is best for our students and families throughout the entire District.

The NDC Green 3 Map creates trustee voting areas that follow major transportation links and roads while balancing Board criteria. Each trustee area will encompass portions of at least two high school attendance areas.

    • Trustee Area 1 is in the west edge of the District and includes the areas of North El 天美影视.
    • Trustee Area 2 runs along the Eastern quarter of the District, mostly in El 天美影视.
    • Trustee Area 3 is located North and South of the I-10 freeway and includes Rosemead and areas of El 天美影视.
    • Trustee Areas 4 and 5 runs North/South parallel to each other along Tyler Ave. and includes primarily South El 天美影视 in area 5 and parts of El 天美影视 in area 4.

The Arroyo High School attendance area falls under Trustee Areas 1, 2, and 3; South El 天美影视 High School falls under Areas 4 and 5; Rosemead High School falls under Areas 1 and 3; Mountain View High School falls under Areas 2 and 4; and El 天美影视 High School falls under Areas 2, 3, 4, and 5. The first election under the by-trustee area voting model will take place in November 2022 beginning with Areas 3, 4 and 5. Areas 1 and 2 will be up for election in 2024. Residents will vote for a single Board of Trustees candidate residing in their newly drawn trustee area.

    Trustee Area Process History
The District formation process began in May 2021 and was led by professional demographers and a legal team to ensure the maps under consideration met legal and regulatory criteria, and a public involvement team to ensure the process was inclusive and transparent.

The process included two community information sessions in May 2021, five community open houses in October 2021, seven public hearings, six community pop-up events, six community group presentations, opportunities to meet with the mapping team, and featured a dedicated website to house all of the resources prior to the decision being made.
